Start search warning and symbolic link as "not followed"
Posted: Tue Dec 31, 2024 1:09 am
This is just to report about the warning system, apparently warning in vain, as the setting to not follow mount points seem to also apply to my user created symbolic links (windows 10), using hardlinkshell or linkshell extension.
See below excerpts showing the warning and yet further does that the link were not followed.
I still have to check in the results if duplicates indeed are appearing from having such possibility. but it does seem in either case to be a problem.. Either the warning is valid or the "not followed" is. I am assuming that it might be about vocabulary. (I am hoping). I will update this if I find more evidence. I searched the forum for symbolic links and did not find in my lazyness existing such specific reporting.

I just noticed that while I have 2 symbolic links to the external folder of "my games in D", only one is making it to the warning.
It might be Saved Games, but between NTFS folder names and windows extra layers of presentation I forgot which. This is a context where I have displaced all my users folders and might have had french folder names in the past. if that changes anything. I am available for more information if needed.
