Not finding duplicate word documents

I've used this program for years recently it is not finding documents that are identical. even where i will compare them using the word tool to compare which finds no differences duplicate cleaner will not find them. why not please help

What type of compare are you running?

Do hashes of the two word documents compare?
IOW, are they identical?
Are you looking for identical?
