Music SAME size/rate NOT being chosen by Assistant

When the Selection Assistant can for music keep highest bitrate n such, in groups where the items have the same bitrate, neither one in the group is chosen. So then what, go pick those by hand?
(I suppose select all but one in each group can be done before and THEN keep whatever will change the selection if appropriate, or done after and it will just select from the groups where there's not at least one checked? Is that right?)
Ditto if one says delete smallest/laregest (oldest/newest) if the size (datetime) is the same then none are chosen for removal.
(I suppose select one form each group could be done first or could be done on a second pass/iteration of remove once the higer/lower newer/younger have been removed and orphaned out)
