renaming files

When I rename files and then use the program to delete them there is an error. the log file says it "The system cannot find the file specified."
An older version I used to be able to rename them and then delete them all from the program.
Maybe I am missing something?

This can happen when other users or processes are moving / changing files on the disk that are involved in your scan. Additionally, if you run different scans or software at the same time you are working through the list of Duplicate Files, the application can attempt to access a file that has been deleted or moved. In short, there are many reasons for this.
One function you can try on on the Duplicate Files tab: hit Refresh (F5). This will eliminate files (from the Duplicate Files list) that no longer exist on the disk. Make sure to Clear Filters, first.
