Windows Live Mail Duplicate Emails

Hello,
I'm a long term user of Duplicate Cleaner Pro though I admit I still use Version 3 as I didn't like the cosmetic changes of Version 4. Maybe I'll change one day
A friend of mine has somehow ended up with multiple Windows Live Mail email exact duplicates.
They live in another State so I can't be present but I can remotely login to help them.
If I run Duplicate Cleaner on the folder that contains their eml files then I should be able to find all the duplicates right?
That assumes duplicate emails have the same Sha1 values of course.
I just don't want to remove them only to find it wrecks his WLM in some way.
