Feature Req: find a cropped (or rotated) image

Here's my use case:
I have video footage and I am trying to "overcut" - long story short, I need to find a particular still image amongst many other images.
But the still I have is from a lower quality version and often cropped.
So I exported all my video sources as stills into one folder and brought them into Duplicate Cleaner and told it not to compare to itself.
Then I took the images I wanted to find and put them into a 2nd folder.
But I couldn't get it to work. The new image was rotated or cropped so the original couldn't be found.
Any suggestions?
