Non-exact duplicates marked as dupes

I downloaded the free version today to see if I want to download the pro. I like the interface a lot, BUT - I have some files that the program marked as duplicates that are not exact duplicates. I searched by content only, but the content is not identical. Did I do something wrong? Is there a stricter algorithm? I'm now worried I deleted hundreds of docs that weren't really duplicates!
Please help!
Thanks,
SL

Are you sure you ran using 'Same Content' and not 'Similar' or 'Ignore content' - you can check the Duplicate Cleaner log file to see what the scan was and what you had removed. It should be pretty much impossible to group non-duplicates using the default MD5 hashing.

On the Search Criteria page, the tabs there:

Regular mode | Image mode | Audio mode

are independent of one another.

As in selecting 'Same content' in 'Regular mode' has no effect on an 'Image mode' search.
'Same content' only applies to a 'Regular mode' search.
