cannot find dup with similar filenames but different ext.

Hi,

I'm having trouble finding known duplicates that have similar file names but different extensions (mp3 and wma). It seems the Similar Filename setting also includes extensions in its search.

Is this correct and is there a way around it ?

Thanks.

Have you made sure that 'same file extension' is unchecked?

Yes "same file extension is unchecked. Here is more info I should have provided before.

I'm working in Windows 10 with OneDrive.

Everything is in subfolders under c:\users\myname\onedrive\music\

I was able to remove a lot of duplicates that were probably all mp3 type.

Now I have some mp3's and wma's (from ripping CD's) that have similar file names but different extensions.

I'm relying on file names and not tags because some may be wrong or missing from my files.

I've tried regular and audio modes with similar results. I also tried with and without "Dont follow ntfs mounts...."

I'm going to try "similar" audio first 2 minutes"

Thanks.
