I have a search running, and it finds something like 1200 files with the same name. When the program goes to "Performing Duplicate Checks" however, it's searching the 30,000 files that are in the directories I'm searching through, instead of the 1200 that have the same name. I have "Same File Name" selected as a search criteria. This issue has happened before with no regularity or reason that I can think of, but I've restarted the program and run the search and it still does this. Obviously much more time consuming than if it was just searching 1200 files. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It'll find the 30000 files and then determine which have the same names during the 'Duplicate checks' stage. It'll skip any further calculations (hashes, etc) on files that do not have a duplicate name (or size, etc). That's why you see it running through the full 30,000 list at that stage.
