Actual error is Error adding file (AddFile): disk I/O error disk I/O error
Welcome any guidance. Running 3.26 on Windows 7 on a 50G file of pics and have tried a few different settings related to ignore zero files and ignore file extensions.
Know my way around computers but not smart enough to mess with any code settings. Thanks for any and all assistance.

Sounds like it's having trouble writing to the database. Do you have enough disk space left, or is there a space quota on your user area that is being reached?

Thanks for getting back. I moved the folder to a bigger internal hard drive so plenty of room, but still getting the same message. Thoughts? Thanks,

Which folder did you move? Duplicate Cleaner will still try and write the database to the same place (C:\Users\[YOUR USER]\AppData\Roaming\DigitalVolcano\DuplicateCleaner on Windows 7)

Moved the large file that I was scanning for duplicates to another internal hard drive on the laptop but still got same message. That freed up significant space on the C drive where the DC program is located.

You could try factory-resetting the program by deleting the database at
C:\Users\[YOUR USER]\AppData\Roaming\DigitalVolcano\DuplicateCleaner\DuplicateCleanerPro.data
