Hello!

I have used Duplicate Cleaner successfully (and very gratefully :)) on 2 defunct computers (XP3 Home desktop and Vista Home laptop) and of course want to install it on my new one (cleaned-up used XP3 Pro laptop) I've downloaded version 3.2.6 from CNET.
After the installer asks me where I want to install the program, it tells me I do not have the required Microsoft .NET Framework program to continue. However, my control panel tells me I have:
- Microsoft .NET Framework 4 Client Profile
- Microsoft .NET Framework 4 Extended

I'd appreciate any ideas or leads to fix this and install your great program :)

Installation says, Microsoft .NET Framework 2 (Minimum).
It could be that "4" is not low enough, not sure off hand?
You may need .NET 2, 3 or 3.5, any of which should suffice.

Actually, on the download page it states, Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 or 3.5.
So try that.

Yes, 3.5 can actually be installed alongside 4. If you install 3.5 it should run fine

I think you'll actually want this, Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 Service Pack 1 - SP1.
(There will be updates, again, after the fact, but that's the nature of the beast.)

Good show, if the solution is this simple I'll count myself lucky LOL

Tomorrow morning when my eyes and mind are fresh again, I will install the other version too and give it another go.
