"Search inside zip files" - RAR support?

Hi there,

Subject (mostly) covers it all. Any thoughts on adding rar support?

Second question: I've never used the zip support - but I'm curious, can we make it so the zip searching acts like a folder branch when it comes to the matching.

Example
C:\tools\1.txt
C:\tools\2.txt
C:\tools\hamburger\ingredients.txt
C:\tools\hamburger\recipe.txt
4 files on my C: under tools, 2 within a subfolder, make sense?..

Now a zip file called Wombat.ZIP located on D: contains
1.txt
2.txt
hamburger\ingredients.txt
hamburger\recipe.txt
Any chance these 2 could match as a full "folder level" match (the 3'rd tab on the right after a search) ? That way you know "Oh I can delete C:\tools, cause it's in that zip file on D:" ? Does that make sense.

RAR support is on the "to-do" list for version 4.

I think zip files/folders are treated the way you require (in the Pro version). A zipped set of folders/files will match just like a normal folder in the Duplicate Folders view. This allows you to identify unzipped folders and their zipped counterparts.

Is there an ETA or link to a testing building for advanced users? :) I think I've tested before, maybe?

We'll get a beta version out hopefully before the end of the year. Version 4 isn't in a fit state to be unleashed on anyone currently!
