After duplicates are listed, highlight a file >> right click>> Select by location , it is possible to insert a file in the box (Preserve this folder while checking the duplicate else where).
Feature request Can the number of folders that is inserted into the box be > 1. Say I have more than 1 folder where the files need to be preserved. Thanks.

I have been using 3.0.1 since the immediate later version had a bug which I reported...Pardon if the feature requested above is already included in the latest version.

I reported it here. In fact it was a difference between how 3.0.1 and the following worked.

I think that one (preservation of files) was addressed in 3.1.6-

• Select by Location efficiency fixes
  Select by Location (from window) now preserves (unmarks) files within the selected folder/tree
