When dropping a folder/folders on Desktop/Taskbar Icon (Open With) - their paths should be added to Search Paths window (in Scan Location Tab).

If the 'Scan Location' tab is the focused tab in Duplicate Cleaner, when you drag a folder(s) to the DC taskbar icon, the DC window should then open, allowing you to drop the folder(s) into the the 'Search Paths' panel.

DC will launch with the selected folder if you drop it on the icon when it is not running.

What about automatic switch to this tab?
