Feature Request

Hi,

Scenario:
I have some files in "my documents". And want to find ONLY duplicates of them. Yes, currently it is possible but finds all duplicates.

If the Duplicate Cleaners algoritm likes this: enums files, sorts by size, selects duplicate sized files and then hashes... I want only a filter after "select duplicate sized files" to select only if same sized group also contains a file in "my documents".

In right pane of "scan location" tab, a column after "scan against self", can be used to determine folders must exist in the result.

With this feature:
* Less time required to display results because of less file compare or hashing
* more focused results
* more effective usage

Good idea - I'll add it to the to-do list. Thanks!

Is a feature like this implemented?

This feature isn't currently implemented. It was on the ideas list though.

Thinking about it, can it be done just by setting all the input folders apart from 'My Documents' to "Don't scan against self" ?

No, no this one is different.

If i have 5 files in "My Documents" i want duplicates of that 5 files.

If my search list has also other 100 folders and they have many duplicate files in different folders: I don't want them in search results. Also program has not to check them equal or not, because we don't interested in. Reporting time is important.

I see what you mean. 'Don't scan against self' would include duplicates between the other folders, which isn't what you want.

So - the required feature is an 'Only show files which duplicate the ones in this folder' flag.

That would be a great feature & very useful.
