What specific "external HD" are you using?

Good evening everybody,

Thank all of you for your replies. Very kind to give me time.

When deleting directly a file in Windows Exlorer, tells me I must be admin. I say OK, then it deletes the file.

HD is a Seagate Barracuda LP 2TB.

So, if I need admin rights to delete this file (and most certainly others) on my HD, I understand better why DC did not delete them when running in "normal" mode.

But DC declares the files as deleted and doesn't send any warning. If you only could have a look at this in a further version, would be perfect.

For when deleting a large number of duplicates (I had several To of saves, and sometimes up to 3 versions of some files - I made saves before starting a new computer), it would be a real comfort to (nearly) blindly trust the warnings and logs.

Nevertheless, be sure I think DC is a real great software, and I'm glad I bought it. I recommend it to every friend who needs to tidy up his files. Congratulations for your great job, and for the quality of the forum and help.

Have a good evening,
Sincerely

There is a bug crept in 3.1.3 which means it's not throwing an error up for files it can't delete (using non-recycle mode) either because of permissions or read-only. Fixed for the next update (3.1.4)!
You can always right-click on DC and select the 'Run as Administrator' option to get round any file permission problems.

Glad you like the program!
