Can we make the hash calculation process faster?

Hello, I am kinda a newbie that I have just used DC5 for a week.
I want to ask if I can speed up the calculation process of MD5 hashes. I am importing a kinda old SSD into a virtual folder. Thought the DC5 process use roughly about 85% of my CPU, the speed is just about 30mb/s, while the SDD read/write speed is about 200 - 300mb if I remember exactly. Is there any solutions to speed up the process?
