Scan folder in context menu

Post by dcwul62 »

When I r-click a folder, there is 1 entry with reference to Duplicate Cleaner.
When I select that entry I get an error

"
This file does not have an app associated with it for performing this action. Please install an
app or, if one is already installed, create an association in the Default Apps Settings page
.
"

In the release notes of 5.14 I read
"Added: 'Find duplicates' sub-options to "Folders to Search" context menu."

Am using 5.18.0 x64

How to proceed?
Or maybe, what I want, is not possible?
Uninstall and re-install?
How does the context menu look like?

Thanks!

The Windows Explorer context menu isn't added by the Duplicate Cleaner installer - you may have added it manually for a previous version using a registry command.
See
viewtopic.php?f=4&t=2538
(You may need to update the script to the correct file path)

The changelog refers to a different part of the program (the Scan location tab).

Thanks a lot!
Re-registered the .reg, now it works.
No idea why it stopped, but anyway, it is solved now.
Thanks again.
