Clearing individual entries in "Find" and "Replace" boxes?

Post by mb »

Via "File/Options..." it is possible to clear the entire (dropdown) history for the "Find" and "Replace" boxes.

However, is it possible to delete just one or two items out of a longer list?

Out of interest, where is the list stored (file, registry)?

Thanks in advance,

Martin

To change individual entries you'd need to edit the .settings file.

It's in:

C:\Users\[YOUR USER NAME]\AppData\Local\TextCrawler\

Make a copy of the file first in case you break it! It's an XML file you an edit with notepad (or a better editor such as Notepad++) Look for the FindStrings and ReplaceStrings settings.

dv,

Thanks for that!

Editing the file (with Notepad++ of course ;) ) worked a treat.
