Deleted files returned!

Post by Dean Lapinel »

I ran the application yesterday and deleted some 3000 duplicate photographs. The images have been breeding and even giving themselves new names. I was pleased as punch to clean up these files last night. All were deleted and verifification was noted by the program. Today I checked my picture file and all the deleted files had returned. I don't know what to do. Vista

Very odd behaviour! Were the photos definately deleted? Perhaps another application is creating the copies.

Yes, please do check if the files have actually been deleted.

Please do check if the files return after rebooting your system.

Please check if the files will return after you deleted them and restarted the system in safe mode.

Please check if your system is infected with a virus using an up-to-date virus scanner.

I suggest you go to the free on site virus scanner offered by Trend Micro and do a scan. It is definitely a virus you have.

Sorry. Forgot to add that I have used this program on a 500gig H/Drive. It found 9000+ duplicates and cleaned them. I am very, very happy and friends I have recommended are happy also.
