Deletion Problem

Post by gts1221 »

After identifying the files for removal or deletion I attempt to move the files to a thumb drive and I receive an error message.

"774 files could not be processed. (See log Window.)"
All of the file have before them the sentence " Value does not fall within expected range: _________

Am I doing something wrong or is there a problem with the program?

It's possible it couldn't create the folders on the thumb drive - is there space and is the drive writable? (permissions).

You could also try copying first and then deleting the files after.

Thank you for your reply. It got me looking at the problem again. It was none of the items you suggested but I will admit it was me and not the program. I tried different alternatives and found that I had set up the destination file on the thumb drive incorrectly. Once that was changed the program worked just as it should have. Hard to admit but the program knew what it was doing and was smarter than I was. So far I am pleased with the program. It worked well on 774 duplicate files. We will see how it does on my much larger set of photos. Thanks again.
