3.2.4 not loading images from duplicate list

Post by econn »

Hi there,
I upgraded to 3.2.4 from 3.2.3. I noticed that once I get my list of duplicates and double click an image, it doesn't load. I opened up 3.2.3 and it does load an image when double clicked. Also, there's a noticeable lag (almost a minute if not more) when I hit 'scan' in 3.2.4 when compared to 3.2.3.

Thanks. And again, this is an awesome program that has saved me hundreds of hours of work, so thank you again for your work.

What type of search are you performing? Regular? Image?

Doesn't load where, in your default (system) image program?
What is your default (system) image program?

(Looks like it isn't the issue, but...)
Are there horizontal scroll bars displaying in the Duplicate Files list?

(Probably doesn't apply, but...)
If you do an Image Search, does the Preview (F3) work?

How much memory is Duplicate Cleaner using?
How many items in your Duplicate Files list?

Do you have sufficient permissions to open the images?
Could storage location be an issue, like somewhere other then a local disk?

Do other file types; music or movies... open as expected?

There shouldn't have been any changes to this between 3.2.3 and 3.2.4. Did you have a huge scan loaded? It may have taken a little time clearing the database when you started a new scan.

You could always try clearing the image cache from options, or even deleting the database file (It's in C:\Users\[YOUR USER]\AppData\Roaming\DigitalVolcano\DuplicateCleaner on Windows 7). Note this will lose any image caching.
