A device attached to the system is not functioning

Hi i had the following error

using version 2.1.0 free
1) i scanned my external harddisk
2) marked with selection assistend option select by location
3) file removal used the move option

Move/Copy Error: F:\uitz_00\ff\uitzoek\DELL backup\D\uitz XXXXX\xxxxx xxxxxx\RFC\closed\2359 2417 - RF outbound-packing should also be possible pallet by pallet - instead of item by item\RF outbound-packing should also be possible pallet by pallet - instead of item by ite__ : A device attached to the system is not functioning.

the file name is extreemly long and has no extensie but is a txt file
but why can't the the file be removed with duplicate cleaner as i can remove it with windows explorer ?

DC sometimes has problems with really long path/file names (>250 characters), as does Windows (depending which functions you use). We'll look at getting it to handle these in the next update.

for me it was/is not really a issue i deleted the files manually

but the message was quitte confusing

if the message would be different i don't think it is a problem
at least not for me. Now i checked a bunch of different things first.
these extreme long file names are not common

The error is one of those funny windows error messages that aren't very helpful. Duplicate Cleaner was just passing it on!
