I just loaded the latest version of Duplicate Cleaner. According to CNet, this is supposed to be version 2.1b but when I check the properties of the file, no version number is given. When I run Duplicate Cleaner and go to "Help / About" the version is given as 2.1.0 (no "b"). Since Duplicate Cleaner "thinks" it is version 2.1.0 but CNet TechTracker reports the the latest version as being 2.1b, Duplicate Cleaner is perpetually marked as outdated by TechTracker.
I have also reported this as a problem to CNet TechTracker as I do not know if this is a problem with Duplicate Cleaner or with TechTracker (or both)
Version number in 2.1b remains 2.1(no "b")
Re: Version number in 2.1b remains 2.1(no "b")
Interesting - release 2.1b has an identical executable, it's just an installer update (updated lanugages, resources etc). So the release is marked 2.1b, but the exe is 2.1. This seems to have confused techtracker!

You might want to start using SuMo, I've found this to be way more reliable to this respect than many other update scanner solutions.
