Duplicate Cleaner doesn't see some folders

Post by dupe123 »

I'm trying to remove duplicates on an external drive. Duplicate Cleaner doesn't see one of the large folders on the drive although I can see it in Windows Explorer. I've tried renaming the drive and running Duplicate Cleaner on the entire drive with no luck. I've restarted DC several times and tried F5. The folder isn't protected in any way or hidden. It has documents, spreadsheets and some jpg files. I can't select the drive in the left hand panel because DC just doesn't see it. I would love some help solving this issue (I'm using Windows 7 and the latest version of Duplicate Cleaner). Thanks!

Is it some kind of virtual folder, or perhaps something to do with junction points? Try unticking the 'do not follow NTFS mountpoints and junctions' option.

You could try adding it directly to the scan list using the 'enter folder name manually' function (right click on the path list, or click the keyboard icon - then paste the folder name).
