Imagine the situation: you have a large archive of files, say 500 Gb of information. And you stumbled on a few files, you are not sure if they are stored in the archive. What do you do? You point the Duplicate Cleaner 1) to the place where the newly discovered files are; 2) to the main folder of the archive.
Then you click "Scan" button. But instead of just quickly checking if the files at question can be found in the archive, the application shuffles through ALL the files inside the archive, trying to find mathes between them!
Sure, Duplicate Cleaner is very nice, but think about the idea to improve its functionality. It will be the absolute winner for me.
A Usefull Feature Missing
To be clear - there should be an option when DC can save a file of all the files already scanned including last date modified and then when doing a new scan, try to match each file against that file and use the already scanned result in the control table. This would be an amazing feature!! I check over 4 TB of files right now and it takes a whole night.
