Clearing Scratchpad must be done manually?

Post by TLDG »

Recently upgraded from TC 2.5 to TC 3.1.

The Scratchpad behaviour is now different on two counts:

1) If you close the Scratchpad window, any text in there will still be there when it's opened again (closing it used to empty it), and
2) The "Clear Scratchpad on Extract" option has been removed.

These two changes combined mean that I have to remember to manually clear the Scratchpad before every new Extract, otherwise the previous results are still included at the top of the Scratchpad, introducing errors into my work.

Am I missing something, or is there no longer a way to have an empty scratchpad except by remembering to clear it manually before the next operation?

That option seems to have gone missing in the transition from version 2 to 3.
I'll add a note about getting it put back in for update 3.1.1
