Standard insert of lots of text causes freezing

I'm tying to use Standard replace to insert ~975 lines of text (2-65 characters per line) into many text files. Not trying to remove any text at the same time. Textcrawler finds the files just fine. I did a test replacement in one file first because I have to make sure the result will compile properly before changing all of the files. The insertion in that one file was successful, but completely freezes my computer immediately after pressing 'ok' button on the replacement-completed window. I attempted this 3 times and got the same result.

I copied the original lines from Excel, one cell per line, pasted that into Notepad, then re-copied it and pasted that into the Textcrawler replace window. If it makes any difference, an example of 5 lines of the inserted text follows. Each group of 5 lines is slightly different but follow this format:

DayScheduleforHeat = DAY-SCHEDULE-PD
TYPE = ON/OFF/TEMP
VALUES=( 0 , 0 , 0 , 0 , 0 , 0 , 0 , 0 , 0 , 0 , 0 ,-75,-75,
-75,-75,-75,-75, 0 , 0 , 0 , 0 , 0 , 0 , 0 )
..

Any help?

It could possibly be the post-replace preview slowing things down. Does it not freeze up with the preview window turned off?
