DCP5 : Very Close Match : Find Rotated - Images not matched?

Post by camelCase »

I have a pair of rotated images (in the same test folder) - using [Image Mode]/[Very Close Match]/[Find Rotated].

A scan of the test folder does not show the images as (rotated) duplicates? Is one of my settings incorrect? (or is there something about the images that DCP5 doesn't like)

FILE1-landscape-1600x1200
Image

FILE2-portrait-1200x1600
Image

Results : No Match found.

Code: Select all

Scanning
- Image mode: Very close match
- Find rotated
- Find flipped
- All file types

Folders to search:
C:\Users\xxxxxx\Documents\MediaDrives\Test-Rotate\ [Find duplicates-Yes]

1/19/2022 12:03:41 AM
Scan complete
Total time taken:None
2 file(s) scanned in 1 folder(s) (2.24 MB)
0 group(s) of duplicates
0 file(s) have duplicates (0 Bytes)

Just for clarification (in relation to the above) - the Same Folder [...] options were NOT SET.

There's an issue with rotated pictures requiring a lower threshold to match. This is addressed in forthcoming update!

Many thanks for the prompt and useful reply - looking forward to the next update.

P.S. I heard about and got recommended your software on an XYplorer forum thread (https://www.xyplorer.com/xyfc/viewtopic ... 11&t=23603) - I also gave you a recommendation for your ability to integrate (using Export to Batch File). ;)

Following your hint and further testing I can confirm that [Very Close match] will not match/group the duplicated/rotated images - but [Good match] will group the rotated imaged. Thanks. :)

P.S. A great piece of software (from a fellow software developer). ;)
