How to mark files in another sub folder

Post by dcwul62 »

Up front, I know...
I know it is a bit embarrassing to ask such a basic question.

But .. spending some time to find a solution I give up. I ask for help here.

Duplicate Cleaner finds duplicates in
X:\CDS\sub folder \ sub folder .. etc.
and
X:\XLS\sub folders... et

I want to mark ALL in X:\CDS
(they are mostly backups of files residing in X:\XLS)

I tried with 'Mark by Location' and selected X:\CDS (incl sub folders) but nothing is being marked.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

You can try right-clicking on one of the files, then use the "Parent folders" submenu to drill down to the folder you want, then try 'mark all files found in this folder tree'.

You may want to check that 'mark by location' hasn't marked files you didn't require first though.

Thanks! Matter solved.

My mistake, sorry.
I wrongly assumed when closing the window panel of 'mark by location' then files would 'automatically' be selected in the given folder/subfolders.
However, I need to click on [Mark]
Ahum...
