I would like to select a folder and have all dups except one marked from the context menu.
I know, there is a "Mark all but one in the same group and folder"
But that works on all folders and sometimes that is not desirable.
One may wish to first.. remove duplicates from some specific folders before doing the above on all folders.
Thanks.
How to mark all except one in a -selected- folder?
Re: How to mark all except one in a -selected- folder?
Try: Selection assistant > Options > checkbox "Work only on currently selected rows"
Also, to protect a file, you can right-click "drop selected from list"

Re: How to mark all except one in a -selected- folder?
Thank you!
I must be doing something wrong, I am sorry.
Did the following
1. clicked on the row of the folder to be handled
2. selected Options > Work only on currently selected rows
3. then clicked on Áll but one in each group'
nothing happens.
Again, I am sure I am doing something wrong somewhere, but what..?
Thanks again.

You need to select all the rows containing the folder to be handled. You may need to sort by folder to this (uncheck the 'Sort by groups first' option)

Thanks.
Well, I don't know... to be honest.
To avoid spending more time on this I have now selected each single file to be deleted, one-by-one, many clicks...
Hopefully, some day, there will be a context menu option (or under "Selection Assistant"), something like
"Mark all but one in selected group"
Thanks again so far.
