Windows 10 - cannot delete files

I have just upgraded to Windows 10, and now cannot delete duplicate files that are found by the scanner..
I am running the V4.1.4 software as Administrator
I have changed the root directory and sub-directories so that I am the "owner" of all the data on the disk
I have run CHKDSK /F
I have run SFC /SCANNOW on the relevant drive
I have set the data permissions to allow Full Access to all users and administrators

When I run a scan and try to delete duplicates that are found, I get a message saying that I need permission from my own userid to delete the file, and the deletion fails. Is there a newer version of the Duplicate Cleaner software that works with Windows 10 that will allow me to delete duplicates? I do not want to return to Windows 7, even though it worked just fine, because it is no longer supported by Microsoft. Alternatively, can I put my userid into the duplicate cleaner software so it knows who I am, so that it allows me to delete my own data? Thanks for any suggestions

Tried it in Safe Mode also - still doesn't work.
