First-Time User Blues

Post by wintersoulstice »

Hello All,

I'm feeling a bit like a dolt. I've just run my first search for duplicate files on my computer. I'd love to remove these duplicates, but all of the files have a lock next to them, and I'm unable to check the boxes next to them. Help!

Thank you so much, in advance

The scan folders are set as protected - check out

If the folders are Windows system folders, it is best to leave them alone.

Thank you so much for your help! I'm computer-savvy enough to recognize system files and other essential files, and I know better than to remove them. My intention is only to rid my drives of duplicate songs, photos, etc. Have a great day!

Are you seeing the same type of padlock as linked above?

And/or a screenshot of what you're seeing?
