How to select the shorter path for a file

The program allow to look for shorter file name or folder name. I'm interested to keep only shorter path name. Is this possible?

Selection Assistant, Mark, Select by File/Path Name Length -> Longest file names in each group

(I'm looking at 3.2.7 at the moment, but have got to assume the same is in version 4 too.)

Looking at Version 4, I would say :

Selection Assistant => Mark by file/folder name => Shortest folder names in each group

I think that "folder names" is an alias for path name.
