Locking up

Either the program does not fully load the search criteria paanel (comes up not responding) or if it does and lets me set the criteria and location after pressing start nothing happens for several minutes then comes up not responding. Have defraged all drives, updated windows and done a complete restart. Any ideas???

Is a "restart" a "reset"?
Might try, Search slows down to a standstill every time?
