RFE: Scan in Archive Files (Treat as folders)

RFE: Scan in Archive Files (Treat as folders)

As is it now, "Archive" is only ZIP.

Suggestion to enhance it to cover more archive formats.

My "go to" archiver is ARJ (command-line, from ages ago).
Additionally I'm apt to have archives in all types of formats; ZIP, RAR, 7z, CAB, JAR...

By supporting more then "ZIP", you gain more flexibility & ability.

My backups are done with ARJ.
Two backups of the same sets of files, may not necessarily be bit identical, even though the contents of the files within the archive are. (IOW, header data could be different, or physical ordering of the files in the archive could differ...) I know that I have dups in my ARJ backups, but they don't compare bit-for-bit. Based on size (remaining static over a number of versions of a particular backup set, & knowing that the backup source has not changed), I can surmise (with great certainty) which particular files are dups, but I'm not certain.

So today, I'm thinking, Oh, let me use DC to clean up my backups. But then I remember, DC only deals with ZIP archives.
So here we are ;-).

---

Running a Similar 97%, Same Size, Same Name at the moment.

While something like that can be used as a work-around, & while that too can give a be done with a great deal of certainty, if the archive contents themselves were determinable, that would eliminate any doubts.

(I ought to mention, that when I spoke of "JAR" - way back when, I was speaking of [the command-line program] JAR [which is not really pertinent, today] nor is it what one would consider as "JAR", these days ;-).)

JAR files are basically zip files - I'm guessing you could scan them with DC 4 if they were renamed
