[edit]
dandelionGEN is a piece of software (for Windows) for easily creating generative music and sounds. It'll do beats, ambient, noise or whatever you can throw at it. Now with midi support.

[EDIT]
dandelionGEN
New version 0.04 (alpha)
Now with MIDI support and a new name
https://www.digitalvolcano.co.uk/downlo ... EN-004.zip

DV06 Version 0.01 (alpha) [Old version]
https://www.digitalvolcano.co.uk/download/DV06.zip
70Mb (it's big because of sample folders)

No installer. Unzip somewhere and run DV06.exe. It requires MS .net framework 4 and directX. Demo tracks are in the 'Demos' subfolder. Be sure to save any other work on your PC as it did bluescreen once on my old machine (a long time ago, possibly working the old sound card too hard).
Any feedback welcome!

I'm a bit late to the party here, I know:

This looks (and sounds) very interesting. Has it stalled through a lack of interest?

I downloaded the ZIP file above to try it, but only a 2.5 MB file comes down, and it's an invalid archive anyway. :/

It's still under occasional development - the current (unreleased) version now supports MIDI output which is fun. I'd like to push it out there for a wider release when I get time

The download must have broke when we changed servers - I've re-uploaded it so you should be good to go!

have you ever continued to work on it since your last update?

I would have loved to use the midi output feature

I've played around with it. The MIDI stuff worked. I was trying to update the audio engine for the samples about a year ago and got stuck there.

If there is interest I can upload a newer version (bugs and all!)

I would 100% love a new version, I have other people who are interested in this server that I'm in and I'm more or less speaking for them.

if possible, would there be any chance of a source code so me or some other people could work on it?

I'll have a look to see if I can clean it up for release. Would be interested to learn about how people are using the program (any forum links welcome)

itd probably be recreational, you should probably look into watmm forums and introduce it to them because they are more oriented in IDM style music so a program like this would be very welcoming to them. However I have no association with them. do you have a discord by any chance? or any other form of direct communication?
