There isn't a way to turn this behavior off currently.
It's a good idea though, and I've added this to the 'to-do' list! Thanks.

Re: Directory tree not expanding
Not sure. I haven't got a 3TB drive to test. I'm logging this as a bug though - and will look at getting the way it scans for folders in the directory tree browser changed to be the same method it uses in the scan process itself (which seems reliable)

Re: Just checking before I hit DELETE
You should save at least one from each grouping! The program will warn you if you try and delete all copies in a group. Always be careful, and remember to back up first!

Thanks for the info. They seem to be locking each other out of the drawing API when drawing the form. Very strange, I haven't found any similar problems that other people have had with .NET apps. Will keep digging.

Re: Not declaring these files as the same
They aren't identical files - they are actually different sizes. EXIF data is blank so it could be something like a slight variation in compression or a tiny degradation in detail (if a file was loaded and saved twice the jpegs would lose quality)

Re: Targeting batch updates
Hi. This isn't currently possible. The batch jobs will just run on the complete folder or single file targetted.
However it was the original intention to have the batch scripting more flexible to allows this type of functionality so I'll add this to the development wish list!
thanks.

Re: VHD (NTFS) disks
The warning is about deleting from Groups with a group number > 100, rather then 100+ groups selected.
I understand about your need for thorough testing - I've messaged you some information about licensing.

Re: Removal of mp3 duplicates across multiple drives
Hi. You can do this without Pro, though it does have tools that make some things easier (like the duplicate folder view - allows you to see where you have entire folder structures duplicated) First you'd want to do a search for exact binary duplicates (Regular mode, same content). This will nicely c...

Re: Conflicts with KeepAliveHD
I've tested for this on XP and Windows 7 and it seems to work fine for me. Could it be an issue just with your machine?
