Re: Copying larger photos over smaller ones

You can use different detection methods to detect the duplicates, if you have the same pictures with different resolution, the same content hash won't do it. You can use image mode and I would add as many constraints as possible since if you don't do exact match you may very well find some false pos...

Re: I'm computing a hash of a file on my NAS, but it's too slow.

You can protect the folders even after the scan has completed, so it doesn't matter and I highly doubt it would take longer. Anyway, you can try to undestand why it is so slow by monitoring the network usage and, depending on the NAS, by monitoring the disk and cpu usage of your NAS. The hashing is ...

Re: auto select of files with names ending with (1),(2),(3) etc ?

I know it's not the easiest solution but you can definetly do that by going in the "mark by text pattern" tab and selecting "Use regular expressions". It's not super simple but there are plenty of example on how to use regular expressions online and given that you don't need any ...

Feature request: Count Hard links only in specified folders

Hi, I have some folders where I can only remove duplicates by hardlinking them otherwise they would be generated again. However enabling hardlink detection in general makes the file discovery process take something like 3 times the actual scan process because I already have many hashes cached. Would...

Context menu (right click) getting stuck in front of everything

Hi, when I right click something in the duplicate list I have my menu stuck in front of everything while the selection assistant works. It's a big issue for me because I'm working with a huge amount of files... which seems reasonable since it's when you would need this kind of program the most, but ...
