Getting results into a text file

Is there any way of getting the dup file results into a text file? I'm working on images where there are a lot of near dups (identical image but slightly different file sizes, due to being re-saved with slightly different jpeg compression). Also the file names have been changed (when making copies w...

Re: Suggestion - Viewing filtered marked files

Yes, now I have the pro version I can do it as you say.

I think you might be missing out on pro sales by not allowing people to know the exact benefits prior to purchase, e.g. by clearly stating the capabilities in a pro manual.

Upgrading to Pro

When upgrading I expected it the installation to ... well... upgrade my free version. What actually happened is that I got a completely fresh Pro installation as well as my existing free one. This meant my setting and previous scan details were not imported; not a huge problem but may I suggest that...

Loosing selection

I made a selection of a number of files where the 'wrong' ones had been selected. To fix this I needed to invert the marked/unmarked files JUST FOR THE SELECTION, but that function is not available. Instead I was able to choose a patern in the marked files and UNMARK them with the "Work only on...

Suggestion - Viewing filtered marked files

After using a global selection such as 'select by text patern', I want to verify the result is as desired. I can use the "Filter: Marked files" to confirm that my text expression was picked up as I expected, but I really want to see the matching UNMARKED dups as well to be sure that in all...

Suggestion - estimate of how long to wait

I am currently watching the "Performing duplicate checks" dialogue. It's checking 6790 files (12.8GB). It tells me the % checked but I can't tell how long the remainder might take because it does not report either how long it's been running or when the scan was started. If this information...

Selection assistant - Unmark All - Only on selected

|There seems to be some confusion in the menu of the selection assistant. I checked "Work ONLY on currently selected rows", and then clicked "Unmark All" and, bingo, 2 hours work on some 4000 dups was lost in an instant because the "Work only on currently selected rows"...

Re: Scan against self, and folder compare

To therube, Thanks, I *think* I understand but will have to read that a few more times to be sure!! To DigitalVolcano, Is it the case that folder names do not have to be the same, its just that they have to contain identical files (contents, names [and attributes?]). What happens if you have c:\docs...

Scan against self, and folder compare

I have been giving the free version a good workout and am impressed and considering upgrading. However I have difficulty understanding what the extra features in pro actually do. 1) You mention the ability to NOT 'scan against self'. What does that mean? Does it mean that any dups in that folder are...
