Re: Saved profile migration

Re: BUG REPORT
It's not a bug, just a change as of version 4.0. It seemed more logical not to hide the hard linked files from the list as they hadn't actually been removed. That said, if people aren't happy with this a good solution might be to add a checkbox option next to the hardlink button allowing the user t...

Settings interwined with hashes in database
I attempted to play with some UI settings, resulting in a bugged interface (background color for file list) soit dit en passant--not the main subject here, and i realised that the only way i could get back to the default UI settings was to throw away the whole database (it was more than 1G, and resu...

Re: Run Multiple Simultaneous Instances
Seems you should be able to run 1 instance of the Pro & 1 instance of the Free, simultaneously. Install them into separate directories. They name their respective databases differently; DuplicateCleaner4_Pro.data, DuplicateCleaner4_Free.data. I have tried this, but there seems to be a check bec...

Re: Sort columns not working

Re: Run Multiple Simultaneous Instances
Well, the free version can be installed alongside the pro version, is it not, or it was. would they be using the same database. i'd use the free version for the the quick searches. also is it possible to use old versions (major), alongside the latest? i can check and reply to my question here later....

Re:
DC also uses the above 'quick hash' method. In version 4, is the quick hash also cached (when option checked for hash cache)? Also, an perhaps i should go in another threahd, is the hash cache database accessible, or less encompassing: when saving the list of duplicates in the format that can be re...
