Re: System Requirements for DC ?
I'm only guessing, but I'm going to say 2.0. AFAIK .NET 3.5 includes 3.5 & 3.0 & 2.0 (which is what I have installed, & DC 3 works). (I do not have .NET 4.0 installed.) .NET 4.0 may or may not be compatible with earlier versions & seemingly in order to use 4.0 (alone), the applicatio...

Re: File Name Caracters
What search criteria are you using?
A search by content should be finding the files.
By name obviously will not.

RFE: Remove "Noise" from File Names
RFE: Remove "Noise" from File Names Or perhaps instead of "noise" it could be considered a "sounds-like", or "similar name" function. Could come in handy? Such that ... video_01(4).wmv == video_01(15).wmv == video_01. Where the (4) & (15) are considered &q...

RFE: Search by Name, Excluding Extension
RFE: Search by Name, Excluding Extension Could come in handy. Of late, I been coming across .mov/.mp4 files that are the same, same name too, except for extension. Yes, a Content search would find them, but it also takes far longer. Searching by Name + Size, excluding Extension, would be much faster...

Re: Selection assistant: very slow
Quick test here ... Intel E4300, 2GB RAM I could only come up with 13,980 dups in 5,597 groups, so not even close to your 80K, but Selecting All but one, or oldest, or largest, or ... Select by location; takes only one second for me. How much RAM do you have? Task Manager shows no other process taki...

Re: Bug: problems with errors during delete of files
Wonder if it's a permissions issue?
Or maybe you are running as a Limited users & to delete the particular files you need Administrative rights?

The paths are listed twice, but what about the file names?

Re: Error in select by master folder
Below the posting window, it says "Upload attachment".
Give that a try.
(Don't know if there is some size limit, & I would think the file to be public?)

Re: duplicate Cleaner crashing.
Just looked into the install folder The install folder of what? Java has nothing to do with DC, so nothing in that regard applies. just spent almost 3 days scanning 830gb for duplicates As a start, suggest you work with smaller chunks, & or methods when investigating a program. 830 GB is not al...
