Re: Network Drives not showing

I'm investigating this issue - it's been reported from several places. It's possible Microsoft have changed something in a recent Windows update that has broken this feature. A workaround is you can add mapped drives by dragging the paths from Explorer. You can also use the Folder browser button u...

Re: Number of lines to display option is not selectable

I think that feature is only available in the Pro version. You're right though- it's not mentioned in the manual.

Re: Keep file that start with (e.g.) donot_remove but remove the other

You may have to filter the groups will all marked (there's a filter to do this) and then unselect them manually if there isnt too many

Re: Keep file that start with (e.g.) donot_remove but remove the other

You could use the 'Mark by text' tool with a regular expression -

Code: Select all

^keep
(this is probably case sensitive)

Then invert the marked files (Selection Assistant).

Re: Dot Matches Newline ---- Not Working as Expected

This should work (with dot matches newline turned on). The only consideration is that it doesn't have any more <?xml phrases further down the file (shouldn't if valid?) else you may lose data.

Regex

Code: Select all

.*?<\?xml
Replace

Code: Select all

<?xml

Re: "Copy" problem, or ...?

It's preparing to copy - it sends the files to Windows (explorer shell) so it can be slow. You may see a small progress bar near the top of the Window. Eventually the familiar Windows Copy progress dialog should pop up with estimates, etc. Unchecking 'via shell' causes the program to process files d...

Re: Beta: Duplicate Cleaner 5

The virtual folders are a snapshot of a drive/folder at a certain time, optionally with pre-calculated file hashes (Image/Audio/Video metrics are still TBD). There isn't currently a function to 'update' the snapshot without recreating, but this is something that can be added if the feature is popula...

Re: Give HashTool an option to rename the file with the hash.

Duplicate Cleaner 5 (beta) will be able do this -

You'd create a scan with all files -
Find Duplicates=No
Find Remaining=Yes

Rename marked files (with hash flag in prefix or suffix) (/h)
