A good idea, though this would be a fairly big addition to TextCrawler. There have been other requests to do operations with named files so maybe this is something to look at for version 3.

Thanks for you input - all the TextCrawler requests get added to a list and features get updated depending on resources available.

Are you sure the Delete command clears? I've tested and delete just removes the text and closes the gap, while Clear leaves whitespace, as intended.

Fixing the Select by Location speed is on the priority list for the next release.

It is using a file based database, hence the occasional disk access.

Columns can be turned off (right click on column header), but like the position re-arrange it's only for that scan session.

You can click on the option 'Work only on currently selected rows' in the Selection Assistant. Then select (not mark) the files in your 300 groups, then use the 'Select by group->All but one in each group' command.

'Group has all Marked' filter may help with this (Duplicate Cleaner Pro).

Thanks for the interesting information about the "Start In" folder. I look at getting this updated in the installer for the next version.

Actually it is only calculating metrics for a filtered set of the images (eg Same name only). The confusion arises because the message "Calculating Image Metrics (5023/14042)" shows the position within the total number of files found before filtering. You'll see it'll skip numbers as it pr...
