Re: Run Without High Integrity?
Forgot to mention ... When I run my file manager ( Altap Salamander ) sandboxed ( Sandboxie ) & I attempt to execute Duplicate Commander from within there, it fails to run. This is because Sandboxie normally runs with dropped rights & Duplicate Cleaner is wanting Administrator rights. (I sup...

Bug: Filter - File Size
Bug: Filter - File Size Or at least an unexpected inconsistency. Select both a Min & Max > 9000 & 36000 Run a scan Now go back & change the values, but this time do not set a maximum value Do this by blanking out the 36000 > 9000 & _blank_ Run a scan Result: the scan proceeds but has...

RFE: Search Paths - Status, Ignore
RFE: Search Paths - Status, Ignore Since I ran into this , a suggestion for a new Search Paths Status indicator - Ignore or NUL or something like that. So not Included & not Excluded. IOW, it is there, listed but not affecting anything. I typically deal with particular related directory trees wh...

Run Without High Integrity?
Is it necessary for DC to Run With High Integrity?
Obviously from a security perspective it would be better if it did not.
(Suppose you run that way partly to alleviate some of the file deletion issues that people were running into in the past?)

RFE: Ability to drag file out from Duplicate List
RFE: Ability to drag file (names, I suppose it would be) out from Duplicate List into another application. Similar in concept to RFE: Windows Context Menu on Duplicate Files List . You either have marked, or mark particular file(s) in the Duplicate List, having the ability to drag those "file&q...

RFE: Windows Context Menu on Duplicate Files List
RFE: An option (perhaps by holding down the Shift key) to display the Windows Context Menu on a right-click on the Duplicate Files list. This could come in handy. As it is I've done a scan, but not by content/hash, so I don't know if what I've found are truly duplicates. I did the scan this way beca...

Re: Modifed/Created Date - Time Variance
To expand on this further, there could be an option to ignore Time altogether (IOW, just look at the date).

Re: Are DC time stamps off?
It seems that this fix was not ported to 3.0.1 Free. (BTW, the same issue exists in DC 2.1.) --- In my current situation ... +Ignore Content +Same Size +Same Modified Date would be a highly efficient search, but Free is not returning the expected results. I'm pretty sure I was way off on that comme...

Re: Not everything new is better
Your settings should be retained. Settings are saved within %LOCALAPPDATA%/DigitalVolcano (or \Documents and Settings\{user}\Local Settings\Application Data\DigitalVolcano depending on OS) & sounds like they are not for you. Possible permissions issue? The dropdown & selection options, that ...
