Re: TextCrawler 3 [beta]

It's most useful when used in regex mode. Enter a regex/search term (e.g. [a-z]) and select "Change to upper case" or "Change to lower case" to the right of the "Replace" box. "Change to Title case" is available too - this is only useful if you are capturing w...

Re: Deleting into a specific folder

Could the select by location (master path) function help? This lets you choose a folder and will mark all the files in other places that duplicate that folder:

Re: Error in Scan Process: Illegal character in path

The actual problem code wasn't isolated and fixed until after v3.2.4 (Pro) came out. The fix did make it into v3.2.4 of the free version though, but isn't listed. The next update will be out very soon!

Re: Hard links not found

It's fine for local drives, but the Hard link count function has issues with mapped network drives due to the underlying support in the Windows API. I think the only network share type it supports is Samba.

Re: Italian menu

Thanks, that makes sense. I've corrected it for the next update.

Does the menu not disappear if you click elsewhere in the window?

Re: Extract text between X and Y

Is the file you are trying to scan in Word (docx) format? TextCrawler will only read plain text docs.

Re: Extract text between X and Y

If it's over multiple lines you need to try it with the "Dot Matches Newline" option ticked.

Re: Extract text between X and Y

You can use this in RegEx mode with the extract button: RegEx: ctl02_ctlIsDetayi_ctlGenelSartlar"(.*?)ctl02_ctlIsDetayi_ctlPanelMeslek Then using a text editor just replace the ctl02_ctlIsDetayi_ctlGenelSartlar and ctl02_ctlIsDetayi_ctlPanelMeslek phrases with nothing and you will have the text...

Re: 3.2.4 not loading images from duplicate list

There shouldn't have been any changes to this between 3.2.3 and 3.2.4. Did you have a huge scan loaded? It may have taken a little time clearing the database when you started a new scan. You could always try clearing the image cache from options, or even deleting the database file (It's in C:\Users\...

TextCrawler 3 [beta]

As of version 3.0, TextCrawler will be splitting into a Free and Pro (paid) version. You'll still get great features in the free version, but much more power in the Pro.

If you are interested in trying a beta of Pro there is more info here: [EDIT: link removed - the beta is now closed]
