Very strange - I wonder if this is related to your list flickering problem below. Does it do this each time, even after a fresh start?

OK, I've identified this problem - it's due to a bad entry in the cache file (i.e. an image that was corrupt or unreadable on the original scan). This bad entry then affects any subsequent scans.

This will be fixed in version 3.2.2!

There was a manual for version 1.x but it is outdated and can no longer be relied on (version 2 uses a different type of reg-ex engine for one). A proper manual is planned for version 3!

An option to show lines before and after the replace hit is also on the roadmap for version 3.

The duplicate folder function identifies entire duplicated folder structures within your scanned files, based on the content of those files (according to the criteria you set for the scan). It sounds like you may have some other criteria enabled which is stopping it from identifying many files. You can turn on logging (More Options, Log events to file) and paste the log here - that might give a clue as to the problem.

This sounds like a problem with the scan. Did it finish correctly with the 'Scan Complete' window? Is there a listing of files shown?

There is currently no way with Duplicate Cleaner to set up a scan with file extension as the only duplicate criteria. This is partly a safety feature - grouping files as duplicates just by their extension means that the files themselves could be unique, and could result in deletion by the unwary use...
