Small UI Enhancements : progress bars for long operations
A. The last step in a scan is to save the hashes to cache. There is currently an indeterminate progress bar but for large scans this can take a long time. Can this be changed to a determinate progress bar and be updated regularly as the saving operations take place? B. When using "Refresh (F5)&...

LOST FEATURE in 5.x :: Persisting the Protect Folder Selections
Hello DC team - in version 5.x PRO of the application, a feature that was in the 4.x PRO versions was lost. When viewing the Duplicate Files tab after a scan, one can right-click and choose to "Protect this folder / tree." In 4.x this would be persisted in the Folders to Search tab between...

Re: Feature Request: thumbnail cache
Thank you for the response. I use a network attached storage (NAS) over my 1 gig LAN. The images, in my circumstance, are large TIFF files (> 10 MB each). A mechanism to retrieve a "cheap" thumbnail quickly would make the very frequent use of the application more efficient. Have a nice day!

Feature Request: thumbnail cache
I love Duplicate Cleaner Pro and use it daily on my rapidly growing photo archive. Currently 70K photos and soon to double as more family archives are being added/merged. Can you add the image thumbnail to the cache? This would dramatically speed up the display of images in thumbnail mode as well as...

Re: multiple file delete from ZIP [Feature Request]
Thank you for confirming. It's nice to know I'm not crazy. :) Deleting multiple files within an archive with a single rewrite would be a tremendous enhancement. For those of us that pay for the Pro version, DC4 is a useful tool. Such an enhancement to how ZIPs (and other archive formats) are handled...

Re: multiple file delete from ZIP [Feature Request]
Thank you for the response. The "Delete to Recycle Bin" box is unchecked. The "via Windows Shell" box is checked. I've seen it take over an hour to delete 1,000 files from a 1 GB archive on the local hard drive. It seems like, at that rate, the ZIP library being used may be editi...

multiple file delete from ZIP [Feature Request]
Hello Duplicate Cleaner team - I am very happy with how DC4 helps me manage my "Family Archivist" business. We get hard drives with copies on copies of duplicate files all over the place! Duplicate Cleaner makes it easy to clean that up especially with its ability to delete from within ZIP...

Cleaner Free 4.1.0 does not run a 2nd time
Hello DV team. I newly formatted and reinstalled windows 8.1 pro. Installed Duplicate Cleaner Free and setup my connection to new NAS that is being loaded with photos. First scan went fine and I took no action (no deletes). Ran the second scan within 12 hours after loading a bunch of new photos to t...
