Re: Delete duplicates
Duplicate Cleaner is indented for your own files (documents, pictures, music, etc). It isn't is System or Registry cleaner, and should not be used on Program Files, System Folders, the Windows Folder, etc. If you don't know if you need a file, don't delete it. Remember the program shows ALL copies o...

Re: Length Select Option
You need to separate the filters by semi-colon, not comma
e.g.
*.vob;*.ifo
It is not case sensitive.

Re: DuplicateCleaner 4.05 Crashes
Sorry you had trouble - is there anything in the Event log? (Assuming you were referring to the Duplicate Cleaner log).
Is it possible there was a network disconnection during the scan?

Re: Length Select Option
There is a Selection Assistant tool for selecting the shortest length audio (Keep longest length). This only works for Audio mode scans though, where the length column is displayed. This mode doesn't support video files. https://www.duplicatecleaner.com/manual4/selection_assistant.htm?ms=AA==&mw=MjQ...

Re: Hash Database For Offline Duplicate Cleaning
This was my thinking as well - separate hash databases. Duplicate Cleaner has used SQLite since version 3.1, but with everything in the same DB. For version 5 the idea will be to split the databases (caches, settings and scans) up and generate a new one for each scan. The Duplicate Cleaner database ...

Re: Renaming Duplicates
You can't do that currently - though I'll look at adding it as a feature. One workaround which may or may not be useful depending on how you want your folders structured is that if you use the File Removal->Copy feature to copy all the identically named files into a new folder then any collisions wi...

It's currently in beta (and the option you require is there). Hopefully out very soon - though we may make the beta available early.

Re: Cleaner closes when selecting "Export Duplicate List to CSV file"
That's unusual - is there anything in the event log? To get the the Event log: Click Windows Start button > Type event in Search programs and files field. Select Event Viewer. Navigate to Windows Logs > Application, and then find the latest event with “Error” in the Level column and “Application Err...

Perhaps there can be a 'Less warnings for advanced users' mode. Will take a look!
