Re: Don't Follow NTFS Mountpoints and Junctions

It means folder junctions won't be followed. If you mean hard links, then they will be included unless you have the 'Exclude Hard-linked files from duplicate List' option checked.

Re: HEIC Support?

Sorry, no preview for HEIC as of v3.1.1. You'd have to double-click on the file to view it in an external viewer.

Re: replacing complex textblocks possible?

It can - you can use the multiline editor by clicking on the little pen symbol next to the 'find' or 'replace' box.

You just need to take care that the line ending types match, or you won't get any results.

Re: Nore files deleted that checked

It shouldn't do this. The easy way to confirm is to check your log file (Duplicate Cleaner log.txt in your Documents folder).

Re: Hard-link confusion

The program doesn't currently support creating short-cuts (only hard-links). This is on our to-do list.

You can check whether files are hardlinked in Duplicate Cleaner by running a scan with the 'Count hard links in file' function enabled (Advanced search options).

A hard link is a directory entry for a file. Every file can be considered to have at least one hard li...

Re: Non-exact duplicates marked as dupes

Are you sure you ran using 'Same Content' and not 'Similar' or 'Ignore content' - you can check the Duplicate Cleaner log file to see what the scan was and what you had removed. It should be pretty much impossible to group non-duplicates using the default MD5 hashing.
